ARTÉMIS DOMAINES OWNS EIGHT PROPERTIES IN BORDEAUX, BURGUNDY, THE RHÔNE VALLEY, CHAMPAGNE, THE NAPA VALLEY IN CALIFORNIA AND OREGON.
The Château Latour estate is located in the heart of the Médoc, in the famous Pauillac AOC. Ranked as a first growth in the 1855 Bordeaux classification, Château Latour enjoys an international reputation. The property’s 96.5 hectares benefit from an exceptional terroir and location, on the banks of the Gironde estuary.
The Artemis Group acquired Eisele Vineyard in Calistoga, Napa Valley, in 2013. The property owes its name to the historic 15-hectare “Eisele Vineyard” plot, which was planted with Cabernet Sauvignon vines in 1964. Eisele Vineyard has become one of California’s most renowned wineries since the release of the first wines bearing the Eisele name in 1971.
The result of the purchase of the René Engel estate by the Pinault family in July 2006, Domaine d’Eugénie is located in Vosne-Romanée, in the heart of the Côte-de-Nuits, in Burgundy. The plots cover an area of 8,3 hectares in the communes of Vosne-Romanée, Vougeot, Flagey-Echézeaux, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Morey-Saint-Denis, Gevrey-Chambertin, Chassagne-Montrachet and Meursault.
Acquired by the Pinault family in 2011, Château Grillet’s vineyard is located in Vérin in the Rhône Valley, near the Condrieu and Côte-Rôtie appellations. This 4-hectare property has been producing an exceptional white wine from the Viognier grape for several centuries. It received its own Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée (AOC) in 1936, making it one of the very few French AOCs monopoles and one of the smallest.
Founded in 1798, Champagne Jacquesson, in Dizy, was acquired by the Pinault family in 2022. The property has Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards, in the Grande Vallée de la Marne and the Côte des Blancs. Always innovative and keen to produce the best possible champagne every year, Jacquesson created the “700” cuvée in the early 2000s, which reflects both the character of a vintage and gives free expression to its prestigious terroirs.
Founded in 1141, Clos de Tart has only changed hands four times in its long history, most recently in 2018 when it was acquired by the Artémis Group. One of the jewels of Burgundy, with a unique, complex terroir, the vineyard consists of 7.53 hectares in a single block. Clos de Tart is the largest monopole classified as a Grand Cru in Burgundy.
The Beaux Frères vineyard, an iconic Oregon estate, joined the Artémis Domaines family in 2022. This 21-hectare vineyard, located at the top of Ribbon Ridge, was founded in 1986 by Michael G. Etzel, his sister Patricia Etzel and his brother-in-law (beau-frère in French), wine critic Robert Parker Jr. This is how the estate came to be named « Beaux Frères ».
Bouchard Père & Fils has owned vineyards since 1775 and has been established in Beaune for almost three centuries; it joined Artémis Domaines at the end of 2022. The estate now covers around one hundred hectares spread over 77 climats and 111 plots, three quarters of which are Premiers and Grands Crus.
